I've talked about playing high cards up and that it a -ev move but there are times when it can be right if the price is small. Her is an example.

Making the call here I'm getting almost 10-1. that means I only have to win this one out of 10 times so why not with the A2.

I get a good card and pay a little more than I want to see the next card. Nobody had a made hand but the right card will keep me til the end.

I now have the nut draw and am ahead of the original bettor even though he technically is ahead. I have to watch out for the second player but I think has an 8 or 9 so I reraise his weak call. sipder bumps it again and I cap. With the lose of h pitbull I need any 8 to lock the hand for the most part.

Spidy hits his dead 8 and pays me off. I do not advise making this play often but doing it from the bring in costs very little if there are enough players to give you odds.

I screwed it all up a couple of hands later with this hand.

I took a hand to the river and folded like a donk. I wated one bet on a hand that I was already behind on. Remember to look at what you can get vs. what your opponent has and can improve to and you can lose the min.
