Razz Can Be So Frustrating...

Especially, when you're trying to find 'your game'. As a new player, I'm still trying to get a feel for how to play certain hands when and from where. Do not ask me about odds; I have absolutely no clue yet. I have noticed that playing position on 3rd street is just as important, maybe even moreso, as playing position in NLH. Also, the ability to quickly get away from good starting hands when they don't improve is key. Stubborness is not often rewarded. I'll share a hand demonstrating that point from a SNG I played in today.

I played the nightly $5.50 MTT last night also. Playing too loose in the beginning was wrong and so was playing too tight in the middle. Stupid. Finished 17/68. pOOp [tm]

Ok, on to the stubborn hand.....

I never play and 8-up card when it's been completed from early position and here you also had two low cards behind you.

Problem with 8-low is it's so hard to drop once you hit a good card on 4th.

Having the eight showing is just free information and the opponent(s) will probably not fold unless he's two cards behind you.

I agree, jones! It is so hard to get away from if it improves in the slightest.

Thanks for stopping by. :)
